The Team
The Revenue Management team, within the Marketing organization, is looking for exceptional talent to build industry-leading capabilities at scale in optimization of revenue-generating investments and commercial performance management with local focus. As part of this effort, we are looking for a Commercial Planning & Trading Manager based in Portugal.
The Role
Commercial Planning & Trading Manager acts as the commercial co-pilot to local General Managers — translating global strategy into actionable local plans. The team is responsible for driving local commercial growth and strengthening internal operations through planning, performance diagnosis, forecasting, and business steering.
What We’d Love You To Do
- As the Commercial Co-Pilot for markets, you will be a key strategic partner to the VP Revenue Management and the local General Manager, leveraging your analytical skills and business acumen to drive growth and profitability.
- You will be responsible for developing commercial and customer development targets for the markets, regularly adjusting projections based on emerging trends and market dynamics.
- You will conduct in-depth analyses of weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial and customer cohort performance, identifying deviations from targets and recommending actionable steering actions to close performance gaps and achieve growth objectives.
- You will collaborate with local General Managers to translate global Marley Spoon commercial objectives into actionable local strategies, with a strong focus on Marketing and Incentives.
- You will lead cross-functional projects and execute strategic initiatives that directly impact commercial performance and influence the local P&L.
We'd Love to Meet You If You Can Bring
- A strong academic track record: MBA or Master’s in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Management or comparable academic qualification
- Minimum 2+ years of work experience in consumer-oriented Commercial, Marketing Analytics, Financial or Business Development roles with a solid track record. Plus for experience in Subscription-model businesses
- Excellent analytical skills, commercial thinking and understanding of P&L
- Fluency in spreadsheet, and knowledge of BI visualization software. Plus: Proficiency in SQL
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to drive cross-team projects: proven experience in good collaboration and driving projects with different teams across the organization
- Strong sense of responsibility: the ability to work in a self-driven, results-oriented, and independent manner, taking initiative to improve decision-making and drive the business
- You are business-fluent in written and spoken English
