Marketing Data Analyst
Help Marley Spoon turn customer and growth data into smarter decisions. This is a hands-on analytics role with real ownership across experimentation, performance and commercial insight.
Marketing Data Analyst
At Marley Spoon, data plays a central role in how we grow, improve the customer experience, and make better decisions across the business. We’re looking for a Marketing Data Analyst who can help us understand what is happening across the customer journey — and more importantly, why.
This role sits at the intersection of growth, customer behavior, and commercial performance. You’ll use data to uncover what drives acquisition, where customers drop off, which changes create meaningful impact, and how we can keep improving over time. Your work will help teams move faster and make smarter decisions across Marketing, Product, and beyond.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving real business problems with data. Someone who is comfortable moving between structured analysis and open-ended questions. Someone who can spot patterns, challenge assumptions, and bring clarity to complex performance trends.
This is a hands-on opportunity with strong cross-functional exposure and plenty of room to influence how we think about experimentation, lifecycle performance, and growth.
What you’ll work on
You’ll partner with teams across the business to turn data into practical insight and better decisions. That may include:
analyzing how customers move from first touch through conversion, retention, and repeat engagement
investigating changes in performance across key growth and lifecycle metrics
evaluating A/B tests and other experiments to understand what is creating measurable lift
identifying friction points in the customer journey and highlighting opportunities to improve performance
building dashboards and Looker models that make growth and customer trends easier to understand
exploring data across Snowflake, Amplitude, and other platforms to uncover patterns and actionable opportunities
supporting broader analysis tied to campaign performance, demand trends, customer behavior, and operational efficiency
translating findings into clear recommendations that help stakeholders make confident decisions
What we’re looking for
You’re analytically strong, commercially aware, and curious about what drives customer and business outcomes. You know how to move beyond reporting and into problem-solving. You can work independently, ask thoughtful questions, and communicate insights in a way that helps others act.
You may be a great fit if you enjoy questions like:
What is driving conversion right now?
Where are we seeing drop-off in the journey?
Which experiments are genuinely improving performance?
What behaviors are linked to stronger retention?
Where should we focus next for the biggest impact?
Must-have experience
around 3+ years of experience in analytics, ideally in marketing, growth, product, e-commerce, or a similar business environment
strong SQL skills and confidence working across multiple datasets
experience with BI and visualization tools, ideally Looker
hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake
experience evaluating experiments, including A/B testing or similar approaches
ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and turn them into actionable business recommendations
comfort working in English in a distributed, cross-functional team
Nice to have
experience with Python or another tool for deeper analysis
familiarity with Amplitude or similar product analytics tools
background in subscription, DTC, marketplace, or other consumer-facing businesses
experience with cohort analysis, lifecycle analytics, funnel performance, or behavioral segmentation
You do not need to match every single point to apply. If the role feels aligned with your experience and interests, we’d still love to hear from you.
