Love food content but also love systems, structure and AI?

At Marley Spoon, we’re redefining how people cook at home. We’re looking for a Culinary Content & Systems Editor to help scale our recipe content using AI tools, CMS platforms and structured content systems.

This is a unique hybrid role combining food editing, content operations, and AI-assisted workflows.

Your role

In this role, you’ll combine hands-on editing with systems thinking to scale high-quality recipe content across multiple platforms.

• Content Editing & Quality Control: Ensure recipe content is clear, accurate and consistent across all customer touchpoints. Edit and proofread recipes, maintaining high standards for measurements, methods and brand voice.

• AI-Assisted Content Optimisation: Review and refine AI-generated recipe content, improving clarity, structure and tone to meet Marley Spoon and Dinnerly standards.

• Content Systems & CMS Management: Manage and update large volumes of recipe content within CMS platforms, ensuring content is structured for reuse across web, app, and marketing channels.

• Content Structuring & Data Integrity: Organise recipe content (ingredients, steps, tags, metadata) so it is easy to scale, search, and reuse across platforms.

• Automation & Workflow Improvement: Identify manual bottlenecks and work with cross-functional teams to implement automation, bulk editing tools and scalable content workflows.

• Style Guides & Content Governance: Develop and maintain editorial guidelines, templates, and AI prompt frameworks to ensure consistent and efficient content creation.

• Cross-Functional Bridge: Act as the primary link between the Culinary team (the creators) and the platforms, ensuring culinary intent is never lost in digital translation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Culinary Credibility: 3+ years in food media, recipe development or professional editing. You’re comfortable ‘speaking chef’ fluently.

• Systems Literacy: Proven experience working within complex Content Management Systems (CMS) or database-driven environments (e.g., Contentful, Airtable, Notion).

• Digital Editing: Exceptional proofreading skills with an eye for data integrity (it’s not just a typo; it’s a broken data point).

Must Have:

• Structured Thinking: You love food, but you also love a clean spreadsheet. You can translate a complex cooking technique into a simple, logical instruction that a machine can categorise.

• AI Curiosity: You have played with LLMs (like ChatGPT or Claude) and understand that the quality of the ‘output’ depends entirely on the logic of the ‘input’.

• Project Management: Ability to manage high volumes of content through a pipeline with tight deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI content tools, prompt writing, or content automation

• Background in Content Strategy, Information Architecture, or Content Operations

• Experience in FMCG, e-commerce, food-tech, or digital publishing environments
