Business Central QA Specialist
Join Marley Spoon as a Business Central QA Specialist: own test plans and regression, triage issues with Finance, Operations and Devs to ensure smooth regional releases.
About US
At Marley Spoon, we’re on a mission to bring delightful, market-fresh cooking back to people while reducing food waste and improving how the food supply chain works. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a key part of how we run Procurement, Production, Inventory and Finance across Europe, Australia and the US.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Central QA Specialist to be a quality and support partner for our ERP team and business stakeholders. You’ll test new features and fixes before release, and you’ll help regional teams resolve issues so they can do their jobs with confidence.
What success looks like (6–12 months):
A reliable QA approach (clear test plans, strong regression coverage, well-documented defects)
Faster resolution of user issues through good triage and clear escalation to the dev team
Strong working relationships with Finance/Operations stakeholders across regions
What You’ll Do
Own functional QA for Business Central work in Jira (user stories, tasks, bug fixes)
Create and execute test plans, test cases and scenarios based on business requirements
Document defects with clear reproduction steps and track them through to resolution
Run regression testing to ensure changes don’t break existing functionality
Validate that releases meet functional specs and are ready for production
Provide functional support via a ticketing system: investigate issues, triage, and resolve where possible
Distinguish between user error/training needs vs genuine system defects, and escalate effectively
Work closely with developers and functional stakeholders to clarify requirements and “unblock” delivery
About You
Must-Haves
Hands-on functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (typically 2+ years)
Experience with modern Business Central versions (BC14+), including the web client
Solid understanding of core BC modules such as Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory
Strong problem-solving skills: you can investigate, find root causes, and propose next steps
Strong written and spoken English (you’ll collaborate with global teams)
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with newer BC versions (BC24+)
Familiarity with agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban) and tools like Jira
Experience using ticketing tools (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow)
Exposure to automated testing approaches/tools relevant to Business Central
Basic familiarity with BC development context (C/AL / AL Code) to collaborate smoothly with developers
If you don’t meet every single point but feel you can grow into this role, we’d still love to hear from you.
What’s In It For You
A chance to work on a Business Central environment supporting multiple regions and business functions
High ownership and visibility: your QA work directly impacts operational stability
A collaborative team that values clear communication, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement
Benefits:
Hybrid work policy (remote + office).
30 annual leave days.
5 training days per year.
Gym cost subsidy.
24/7 confidential employee assistance program. #
