People Operations Advisor

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented People Operations Advisor to join our team in Lisbon. In this role, you will be the go-to person for all HR administrative and advisory matters in Portugal. From onboarding and payroll to compliance and culture, you will play a vital part in shaping the employee experience and supporting our team as we grow.
You will report to the People team and work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and governmental bodies to ensure all HR processes run smoothly and in compliance with local regulations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across a wide range of HR topics and making a tangible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the administrative side of the entire employee lifecycle in Portugal, including onboarding, relocations, offboarding, and contractual changes.
- Coordinate payroll preparation and act as the primary contact with our payroll provider.
- Ensure HR compliance and monitor alignment with local employment laws and regulations.
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including the accounting team, health insurers, and authorities.
- Prepare and submit necessary HR reports, particularly in relation to social security, wage tax, and audits.
- Provide advice on employment law, including supporting team members with health check-ups and related processes.
- Track, analyze, and optimize HR processes and key data to ensure continuous improvement.
- Handle all HR documentation, including contracts, legal amendments, and general people management admin.
- Support office management tasks when needed (e.g., monitoring supplies, ordering stationery).
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to people and culture, such as creating and documenting internal policies.
Your Profile
- Proven experience in HR operations, preferably in a similar role within Portugal.
- Knowledge of Portuguese labor law, HR compliance, and payroll processes.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English.
